First Plough and Harrow coaching inn built on the Hagley Road. The present building dates from the Victorian era.

Chapman’s windmill built on Holloway Head

1758 |
John Perrott builds Perrott’s Folly off Waterworks Road. The 96ft high octagonal tower was used by Perrott for entertaining friends and viewing the countryside.

1792 |
Local Attorney Thomas Lee dies. Lee had offices on Newhall Street and lived out at lived out at what is now Five Ways. Lee Crescent and Lee bank were both named after Thomas Lee.
